Van-Anh Nguyen

Los-Angeles based concert  pianist,  composer  and  TV Host  Van-Anh   Nguyen  returns  to  Sydney  for  a one-off performance in  collaboration  with  her  family  and some  of  Sydney’s  finest musicians. In this recital, Van-Anh will play Chopin’s Waltzes, opus 64, along  with  her  coveted  classical  crossover   arrangements  which  took her to  #1  on  iTunes  Australia  earlier  this  year.

The  Nguyen  family,  who  arrived  in  Australia  as  refugees  in  1984  are  all musicians  and  will  be  joining  Van-Anh in  concert.  Oanh  Nguyen  (mother/soprano),   Xuan‐Anh  Nguyen  (father/classical  guitarist)  and  Viet‐Anh  Nguyen   (brother/pianist)  will  collaborate  with  Van‐Anh  Nguyen  in  a  variety  of  classical   works.  The  second  half  of the concert will  feature  Hanna  Oblikov  (cello),  Alex  Norton  (violin),   Elsen  Price  (double  bass) and Mark Olsen (drums/percussion) who will join Van-Anh in a variety of chamber works.

Van‐Anh’s virtuosic playing and infectious personality draw her  audience  into  the  concert   experience. She has  performed around the world in notable  venues  such  as  City  Recital  Hall  (Sydney,  Australia),  Sydney  Opera   House,  Segerstrom  Center  Of  The  Arts  (California,  USA) and the Shanghai  Oriental  Arts   Center  (China).
