Choral music unites two distant communities when the Orphenians from Staples High School, Connecticut and Brisbane’s Canterbury College Cantabile Choir perform a concert in Sydney.

During this tour, the Orphenians and Cantabile will join other USA choirs, Australian university choir members, and the Shanghai S-future Choir, in a four-day festival under the baton of Grammy Award-winning Maestro Craig Hella Johnson. The festival culminates in a free Gala Concert in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday 17 July.

Throughout its 25 year history, Canterbury College Cantabile Singers has represented Australia nationally and internationally at festivals and competitions, placing third in the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod Festival in 2010. They are no strangers to performing in Sydney, having performed in the Sydney Opera House in the Voices Across the Pacific Festival in 2014.

Admission is free.
