Music For The Clarinet From The Sydney Consort
In its final concert for 2014, The Sydney Consort presents The Mannheim School, a programme of classical music featuring music for the clarinet. The works showcase the clarinet from its birth in compositions by Stamitz through to Mozart’s chamber works.
The ensemble welcomes back the outstanding soloist Lawrence Dobell, principal clarinet with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the versatile recorder player and specialist in the early music field, Hans-Dieter Michatz in this evening of unique chamber works.
