Omega Ensemble Aims At Debut Album

Omega

Sydney based chamber group Omega Ensemble has the opportunity to record its debut album with ABC Classics and is looking for support to make this a reality.

The album will be a collaboration between Omega Ensemble and clarinetist Dimitri Ashkenazy and will include a work by George Palmer – It Takes Two, a concerto for two clarinets, Ian Munro’s clarinet quintet Songs from the Bush and Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, which will feature founder and Artistic Director of Omega Ensemble, David Rowden performing on the Basset Clarinet as Mozart originally intended.

Scheduled for completion by September 2016, the CD is set to be launched in November 2016.
