Opera Australia Announces A Second Performance Of Thaïs

Missed out on tickets to Thaïs next year?

Opera Australia has announced a second date in July 2017 for their concert performance of Massenet’s rarely performed opera conducted by Guillaume Tourniaire with Nicole Car as Thaïs, Canadian baritone Etienne Dupuis as Athanaël and Korean born tenor Simon Kim as Nicias. Richard Anderson sings the role of Palémon with Sian Pendry as Albine, Anna-Louise Cole as Crobyle, Anna Yun as Myrtale and Jonathan McCauley as the servant.

Performing with the Australian Opera Chorus and the Australia Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the concert will be at the Sydney Town Hall while the Joan Sutherland Opera Theatre at the Sydney Opera House undergoes renovations.

Dates: July 22 and 24, 2017 at the Sydney Town Hall.
