Sydney University Graduates Perform Dvorak

The Sydney University Graduate Choir and Orchestra conducted by Christopher Bowen perform Antonin Dvořák’s Stabat Mater in the marvellous acoustic and evocative atmosphere of the The Great Hall, University of Sydney.

Completed in 1877 and underpinned by his grief at the untimely death of his children, the Stabat Mater tells of the profound grief of Mary as she maintains her vigil at the foot of the Cross. Scored for four soloists, choir and orchestra, this performance features Lucinda-Mirikata Deacon (Soprano), Ashlyn Skye Tymms (contralto), David Hamilton (Tenor) and Adrian Tamburini (Bass).
