The Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra opens its 2012 season

The Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams celebrates it first concerts for 2012 this weekend with a performance in Balmain on Saturday night, and one in North Sydney on Sunday afternoon.

The Principal Clarinet in the MCO, Andrew Doyle will be the soloist in Weber’s Clarinet Concerto No 1, in F minor opus 73 (1811) in a classical programme which also features the Overture to Don Giovanni K527 (1787) by Mozart and Beethoven’s Symphony No 2 in D major, opus 36, composed between 1801 and 1802 when Beethoven was incresingly troubled by deafness.

The Saturday evening concert will be followed by a celebratory drinks reception.

Tickets $35/30/15 are available at the door.
