ACO HomeCasts Cello Double-Bill

The Australian Chamber Orchestra’s Principal Cellist Timo-Veikko ‘Tipi’ Valve features in a double-bill on ACO HomeCasts this weekend. Following his solo HomeCast on Friday July 17,  Valve performs Debussy’s Sonata for Cello and Piano, recorded during the ACO’s 2017 ACO Soloists tour.

The sonata was written in 1915, three years before the composer’s death, and has been reimagined by Australian composer Jack Symonds in a special formation written for the ACO. This recording captures the world premiere of the arrangement.
