IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition Finalists 2019

Five outstanding young singers will compete in in the 2019 IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition.

Sopranos Bianca Bacchiella, 20, from Queensland and Josi Ann Ellem, 23, from New South Wales, mezzo-soprano Rebecca Hart 22, also from New South Wales and New Zealanders Manase Latu 23, tenor and Samson Setu 25, bass baritone, will compete for Australasia’s most coveted award for opera and classical singing, the Marianne Mathy Scholarship (‘The Mathy’).

They will be accompanied by the Opera Australia Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Milton AM
