The French Revue at The Basement

French born vocalists Marie-Hélène Berteau and Sylvie Renaud-Calmel team up with Australian-Taiwanese pianist Katy Tsai once again as The French Revue, for a beautiful evening of world music and exploration of French & European cultures.

The performance also celebrates the launch of the ensemble’s inaugural CD

The evening will be part of the 2012 Fete de la musique celebration, the largest international live music event in the world. Devised by the French Government in 1982, la Fete is held in 450 cities across the globe on the very same day each year, to link more than 110 countries through making music.

Since their first performance at the 2009 Opening Gala of the Sydney French Film Festival The French Revue has been spotted regularly, presenting their entertaining shows at Bar me in Darlinghurst, Berkelouw’s Wine Bar in Leichhardt, the Mosman Art Gallery and at the Vanguard, in various programs combining their flair for all-things French with a solid dose of musical curiosity.

Tickets: General Admission $20 / $15 (concession and Alliance Francaise); General Admission + CD: $30
