The Song Company begins its Eastertide tour, with In Tempore Paschali, a programme of sacred polyphony.

Returning to the iconic venue of the Crypt at St Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney, for the first concert, the ensemble will present a second concert in North Sydney.

The programme moves through the stillness of the tomb to the Paschal light of Easter Day and beyond, with a procession of 16th and 21st century Latin motets, from Byrd and Mundy to Elliott Gyger and Alice Chance.

The programme:

Gombert: In illo tempore/ Monteverdi: Missa In illo tempore/ Antony Pitts: Thou wast present as on this day.
