The Sydney Consort presents 1+2+3+4 (Bach’s Concerti) in its third performance of the 2017 concert season and one of the most exciting of programs.

The ensemble welcomes back Israeli virtuoso harpsichordist, Michael Tsalka, who will join the ensemble in a rare performance of four concertos composed by J S Bach. This year the ensemble will perform the remaining concertos from the composer’s multiple harpsichord concerto collection. The climax of the concert will be a performance of the Concerto for 4 harpsichords, an adaptation of Vivaldi’s Concerto for 4 violins. Dr. Tsalka will open the performance with the well-known solo Harpsichord Concerto in F Minor.

Performing on the harpsichords are a team of experts comprising Monika Kornel, Joanna Tondys, Michael Tsalka and
Diana Weston, joined by Stan W Kornel and Meg Cohen baroque violins, Valmai Coggins on baroque viola and
Laura Moore on baroque cello.

This is a rare opportunity to hear this magnificent and infrequently performed repertoire expertly presented with an unusual gathering of talent and resources.

Tickets:  Trybooking or The Sydney Consort  or at the door 30 minutes before the concert.
